An original background color concept from the Warner Bros. Studios animated series, "Tiny Toon Adventures" (1990-1994). Featuring an abstract rendering of fiery landscape with an icy platform in the center, the hand-painted concept art was created at the studio by legendary artist and animator Walt Peregoy and used during the story development process. The painting is from one of the four episodes Peregoy worked on, "Whale's Tales," "Who Bopped Bugs Bunny,." "The Return to the Acme Acres Zone," or "K-Acme TV." The painting was used to develop and finalize the color palette, layout of the action, and the overall feel of the scene. When a color concept is finalized during production, it becomes the reference tool that animators use to paint cels and backgrounds, as well as to further progress through the storyboarding and layout of the individual scenes. Measuring 15"x20" overall, with the image itself measuring 9.25"x14", the concept art is in very good condition with minor edge and corner wear, slight discoloration, and the paint of the cel layers sticking together.
