An original production background from the Disney Studios and Firestone Tire Company sponsored educational short, "The Building Of A Tire" (1946). Featuring a slightly abstract rendering of what appears to be beams of light amongst a wash of blue, the hand-painted background was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece represents an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the film. Measuring 10"x12" overall, with the image itself measuring 9"x12", the background is in fine condition.
